One of the best ways to share your blessing with others is to understand what it IS NOT. As Michelle explained on Mother’s Day, it isn’t a prayer request, it isn’t a teaching, it isn’t a magical chant, and it doesn’t mean you won’t face hardships. A blessing is something that has God’s name stamped on it!
Michelle broke it down this way:
- God is for you. If you know God the Father is for you, you can overcome every obstacle in your way.
- God is with you. If you know God the Son is with you, you can get through anything, no matter what.
- God is in you. If you know God the Spirit is in you, nothing can stop you.
One of the most impactful things Michelle said was, “Your destiny is to be the blessing.” It’s important to bless the people around you. And blessing others shouldn’t happen just when you feel like it but when you know God is leading you in that direction. It should be natural for you to bless others.
I want you to spend some time thinking about the ways God has blessed you, and ways you can bless others. There’s so much joy in sharing what you have with others. Our current global crisis presents new and creative ways to reach out to others in need. This could be through encouragement or prayer, or even through helping with supplies! I hope you are blessed today, and Happy Mother’s Day again to all our moms here at The Summit!
